When I ran into this band I was stunned! Each album has something great to offer. Many bands that came into play after 1985 and some of them have been incredible to hear. Prog feeling like there was nothing out there fresh, it wasn't until about 2009 that I climbed out from under my rockĪnd started doing research and found out that prog had been progressing all along! I have since discovered so Galleon is a band that this old proghead had never even heard of until 2014. This is one of those albums that you have to really search hard to find anything on it that lives up to the greatness The last track "Rain" left me saying "WHAT? Is that it?" Overall it is as if they were struggling to findĪnything fresh. "Over The Hills?" prods its way along not really going anywhere. "Child's Play has some good stuff in it as "Wallflower" is the best track on the album and has some good transitions. They were working on one in 2014 but a few years laterĬame their announcement that they were done. Maybe this is why they chose not to put another one out. I had expected something similar but not only did the guitar workīecome more laid back but the album overall for me is very unmemorable. Surprises in it and the guitar work was stellar. Galleon pushed out "Engines Of Creation" 3 years earlier and it wasĪ smash! In many ways it is generally their best work in my opinion. Artists I've Seen Live (from collection).I am not sure what happened with this album.Great music, Weird Music, Important Music."hello! from the photos that you linked, i can tell u that mat nicholls said that he and oli hand cut and stapled those packagings for a demo they made in oli’s basement before they got signed! " I hope I can get more information about it. Maybe it's just a few limited CDs (according to the comment on the previous youtube video only 80 copies), who knows. I would like to know if anyone has more information about it, or if anyone has this version in their collection, or if anyone has better photos. This version is not on Discogs and I haven't been able to find any more information. I add some links, with the only photos I could find on Google:Īlso added a live video of the song "Passe Compose": (but I´m not sure, because the quality is bad and there is controversy in the comments of the video). Where there is only something clear about it, is on Wikipedia, where it says the following: I would like to know if anyone can give me more information about this first version of this EP (This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For).Īccording to what I have been investigating, before the "first version" of TDON Records, there was another one with a different art, it must have been something very limited and maybe a kind of self-released Demo of the EP.
